I'm a huge fan of the GT series except I haven't played the newest GT. I converted to Xbox 360 when choosing my latest platform and am a fan of F2. IMO, the ability to swap engines makes the game so much better. I like that you can slap a boosted k20 into an old CRX. Unfortunately you can throw a boosted F20 into the same damn CRX... FWD to RWD conversion FTL...
If I had it to do all over again I'd stick w/ the 360 and will be enjoying F3. Why? Ask me on 11-10-09 when I drop a flash-bang on your head.

*sigh* Both GT5 and Forza3 will be good in their own way. I will be buying both games and will probably have the same amount of fun with both. It's stupid to take sides and claim one is better.

But Forza does > GT.
2005 - FM1, 2007 - FM2, 2009 - FM3. All have customizable body kits, damage, engine swaps, paint options, etc.
GT3 - 2001, GT4 - 2005, GT5... 2007...er 2008... er 2009... and really didn't change much. Hopefully 5 will have the level of modification Forza offers as well as damage, etc. We'll see.. expect the comparos to be interesting.

To be honest if I had a PS3 i would buy GT5. But one console is more than enough for me.
**Wii doesn't count**

I am an avid FM player, but I do think that the GT series (mainly 4, Prologue, and 5) have better graphics. Although I am no video game designer or anything, but I feel that if Turn 10 (the makers of FM) invested more time in the graphic department instead of making unbeatable sounds, damage, tuning capabilities, and such, that FM graphics would be just as good.
I'll trade the realism in everything else for a slight disadvantage in graphics.
