That movie ROCKED! Man, makes me want to go out and buy a beater to turn into a major sleeper... (not doing anything major to the S2K, happy with that as is). I think with the tricked-out beater and being a girl, I could make me some major cash off of some unsuspecting, chauvanistic guys!

Sounds like my next career move!

I couldn't go see it today, so I went out to the street races and had a lot of fun. Raced 7 times and I spanked them all! God I love this car!

I liked Gone in 60 Seconds, but I'd hyped it up too much in my head...so it was a disappointment really. I'm not a muscle car fan, but that Stang that mixed the old with the new was just beautiful. At least I got to see my beloved F355, and the F40, and the 550, and...

I also saw and kinda liked Gone in 60 Seconds, but it doesn't even come close to the enjoyment of watching The Fast and the Furious. Both movies had preposterous circumstances but the racing scenes in F&F were way more exciting and even the character development was better.
You gotta factor in that alot was expected of Gone in 60 Seconds and it kind of disappointed, whereas F&F looked kind of stupid (story-wise) in the preview and pleasantly surprised.

i had the chance to see fast and furious last night and it wasn't that bad. i'd give it 3 of 4 stars. the chase and stunt scenes were pretty intense but the ending left me wanting more. anyone else agree?

That movie is a really good advertisement for the NOS industries. It really makes me want to get a NOS kit for my S2K just for fun. I wonder how much that cost?

I've got to ask: what races weren't portrayed in a negative light?

Vin Diesel was white, but was a thief with a psychotic temper; the white performance store owner was a thief. The black driver was the usual stereotype of an urban black, and the black FBI agent was an arrogant SOB. I guess the Hispanics weren't insulted too bad. Just because the bad guys in this movie were an Asian gang doesn't make it racist.
