excessive speed ticket

Reckless driving = 8 pts.
AZ 8pts = automatic suspension.
$180 is a very low fine to pay for a ticket like that. It'd cost way over $400 in Arizona.
Good luck on your trial/court thingy~ and I hope that you now know not to that. Save it for the track, it's so much more fun when you have nothing to look out for.

I hate these kinds of threads, sure cops can be assholes and give unnecessary tickets sometimes, but dude you were going 110+ mph.... wtf? And since theres a cop involved I assume it was a public road which is an idiotic thing to do IMO. Pay your ticket, and stop speeding. Stop trying to get out of a situation that your reckless driving created. You commited a crime so pay the consequences.
Im not going to lie there are times that I go well over the speed limit, but if your going more than 110 mph on a public road and start complaning because you got a ticket.... just doesnt make any sense to me...

These are all details of California law and have nothing to do with S2000s. This is totally the wrong forum to be asking them.

To clear things up, I'm not complaining that I got a ticket. I know I'm in a bad situation so I'm asking what options are.
The reason why I was speeding was because I had to take a crazy crap and I was trying to get home so I could handle my business. -_-
Speeding is still speeding so I'm not complaining about it. Me and my friend were laughing about it after. I'm just trying to lower my penalties/fines and am asking whether hiring a lawyer would be my best option
Thanks hyperpm and coolblues2k for the links.
