People act stupid? One time in stop and go traffic here in lovely VA, this retard with air bags in his shitty little truck drove by me. I had my top down and as soon as he passed "PSSH!!!!!!!!". Loud ass sound comes from his car. I look and he just released the air in his bags and his truck drops.

Then my lane speeds up and I pass him "PSH!!!!!" again! Wtf is this guy doing?! So anyways I drive some more and 5 minutes later lo and behold he drives by and "PSH!!".

Thankfully my lane sped up enough and he was far behind.

I will also be stopped at a light and a godamn dump truck will constantly do the same thing. I also pass many dump trucks and practically every single one makes that loud ass sound when I pass.

Yesterday I passed 8, 5 of them did it, I'm actually surprised if it doesn't happen.

I also notice alot of people just love to blow by me with their loud ass beaters.

dump trucks will usually make that "psh" noise when they change gears. as for the other guy releasing the air to drop, just consider that as him saying, "your car is really nice."

Are you talking about air brakes? If so, then they don't manually control that sound. After you stop the system purges itself. You can't blame them.

Okay, I wasn't clear enough. Think about this. Do you always come to a complete stop every time you touch the brake pedal? I guess I should have said "Every time they let their foot off of the brake pedal".

That's the way I see it.

I'd say they're talking about exhaust brakes that trucks have. The air brakes just sound like a loud bov whereas the exhaust brakes are loud as hell and grunty. Again though, there's no way to eliminate them really

no. i think it's more like "i want someone to notice that i have airbags and since your top is down, i know you will hear it." it's really an attention junkie thing more than anything. it's the same reason why some people purposely choose to have a loud exhaust on their cars. they want people to hear and notice them.
