There's video for pro's and con's of each Radar Detector. Find the right fit.
BTW: That's an old old model. They don't even make that anymore.

This one shows =.
All personal preference. I like the Ix and V1. But I do like the REDLINE the best.

Can you elaborate on the laser jammer, how hard was it to install? how effective is it?

When you encounter laser the horn goes off and the light turns red. Once you have slowed to the speed limit, you turn it off so as not to attract attention. Pretty simple concept, but confuses the police (they have to stand outside their cruiser and hold the gun steady to get a reading). Every time this has happened to me I'm able to observe the patrolman inspecting the gun and hitting it.
The Blinder website shows newer models than the one I have though. So I'm not familiar with them. I think I paid $60 to have it professionally installed. It took the guy around 2 hours I think.

The cops don't use radar anymore. They use laser almost exclusively now. Radar detectors are mostly useless now.

Did some research, since the patent for the v1 dual antennae/arrows runs out in 53 days it's going to be fun to see what happens, will escort release something with arrows/true rear antennae?
or will V1 step up the game and upgrade to gps ?

I have the Blinder 20. It was top rated at the time, and for good reason. It is hard wired. Two sensors/jammers mounted next to the front license plate (this is what the police target or aim at). It has a green/red indicator light mounted in the dash, a loud piercing horn mounted on the steering column, and an on/off switch mounted on the steering column. Here is a link that tells you how it works:
