last night's Lost and reality in general brings up the issue of women (and men sometimes) not being able to help who they love and will do anything for. they will turn on each other, destroy their own lives, hurt anyone including themselves for the sake of that person. and usually that person is a jerk, abusive, certainly not deserving, etc.

it boggles the mind. i understand why it happens, but still.
wanted to hear any thoughts u might have.

I wouldn't necessarily call it love. I call it attraction. Love is more than that. Love means sticking it out with someone through thick and thin. Loving someone when things aren't going to best obviously requires a conscious decision. That's my stand on the whole issue.

^ I agree, I have a woman who is my kryptonite, I make all the wrong choices when she is around me. I know this woman is no good for me and we canno't have a future together but the attraction is strong. I just stay away from her and don't take her calls. I thought I loved her but now I know it's just chemistry.

no dilemma, but it's hard to watch people trip themselves up for someone unworthy. love, attraction are vocab semantics for this thread.
