Default Bird Poop

it was bound to happen....

every now and then i leave my car parked at work with the top down. i have this nice shady parking spot under a tree.... i often wonder why i've never had the misfortune of having a bird shit in my car.

i drove to work today with the top down and left it down when i got to work. at 11:00 i left for my late morning coffee run and plopped right down into the driver's seat.

i got back to work and a co-worker is walking behind me and she goes: "what's on the back of your dress?" BIRD SHIT... all smooshed down the back of my black donna karan dress. please tell me that i'm not the only loser whose car gets pooped in.

i always have some sort of mishap on my fri. morning coffee run... a few weeks ago i noticed a spider in my car. i went to kill it and it ended falling into my lap instead. i started freaking out and kinda forgot i was driving for a couple seconds and drove my car over a curb and into the grass outside the windows of the managers in the dept. next to mine. i swerved back out, at the same time turning my windshield wipers on and spraying wiper fluid all over my windshield and into my car (top was down...)

a few fridays before that i split the slit in the back of my skirt all the way up to my ass AND DIDN'T NOTICE. i was walking around flashing all my co-workers for a good part of the afternoon before i wondered why it was so breezy back there and inspected my skirt.

I never leave my car anywhere with the top down unless it is at a friends house and I can see the car or if it my own driveway ...and I can see the car. I just don't trust people I never thought about the potential for bird poop though .

***oh & I HATE SPIDERS! I would probably have done the same thing you did if that happened to me ***

I never park with the top down. For starters, I'm worried about bird crap. Secondly, bugs/spiders are likely to crawl in (or lizards). Thirdly, the seats get too hot in the bright sun AND the leather will fade over time and fourthly, tree sap (if I'm in the shade) is another big no-no for the interior.

I don't see how it's "possible" to even sit down and not look at the seat beforehand. Don't the eyes automatically look at the car seat before sitting down, or is it just me?

Oh yeah, leaving the top down is generally not a good idea. Besides bird shit and theft, it can get very dusty.

i never look at my seat.... i think i was on my phone so i wasn't paying much attention. my car is definitely a dust ball... but i have a little swiffer duster for that. and we have video surveillance in our parking lot. i'm sure they have video ffootage of me hopping that curb. i'm surprised i haven't gotten a "random" UA. lol...

All great reasons, not to mention that unforseen shower or people walking by and using it as a trashcan.

For sure.

Especially for liquid trash, such as half drunk cans and the like.

I once got back to a banana peel.
