Babygrass got into an accident and totalled her car

I was driving a friend and I to a friend's dinner and I was about 10 feet from the crosswalk when the light turned yellow.
I couldn't stop, so I kept going.. didn't speed up or anything.. I just went normally. A car coming the other way decided to turn left and I guess he didn't see me or something.
Anyways, I t-boned him and totalled my parents car in the middle of the intersection.
He was driving this huge ass 2002 Toyota Tacoma. I was driving my mom's 1994 Intrepid. The hood was smashed, the car was leaking coolant, lights were busted, glass everywhere, and the car wouldn't start. The Tacoma only had this tiny little dent in the side.
Everyone was ok, but it was my first accident ever, and I'm just a little shook up I guess. The weird thing is that the guy driving the truck was a really close family friend, and he's known me since I was born.
I'm just glad everyone is OK.

Hey, Babe, a most regrettable bit of news. Good to hear noone was seriously injured. I've been to many such accidents and the hardest thing for me is to try and figure out if there is any physical injury when there is so much emotional trauma at that moment. If there is any doubt, have you and your friend check yourselves out with the doctor real good. Sometimes these things come back 6 months to a year later to haunt you. The initial bumps, bruises and soreness can hide more serious stuff.
