Anyone here use eBay?
At the suggestion of some of the chat room participants I put a set of my floormats on eBay and it appears I got a bid within a couple of hours.
Could this be right? I mean .. I read where the auctioneer (eBay) can bid by proxy and I was wondering if this is what's happened?

I notice it also flagged me with a pair of sunglasses which seems to imply 'shadiness' LOL. You really have to prove yourself ... I trusted them with my payment details yet they still don't trust me .....yet.
Sorry for my ignorance... I know this is 'old hat' for most people but I've never used eBay before.

Ebay does not bid by proxy, your customers do though. You place a maximum amount you will bid for the item and it will bid the minimum amount that it takes to be the leader. If another person jumps in and bids will you are sleeping it will by proxy increase your bid automatically until your limit is reached or your outbid the competition.
The sunglasses denote that your are a newbie, nothing more.

I've both bought and sold on eBay, nothing to it. I think it'd be a great way for you to get some additional exposure for your products - I mean, we're a rabid group of S2K fans, but there anre thousands of owners who have never heard of this forum... Of course, you could point to tesimonials on this site in your ads
