Anyone ever go to an indoor go-kart track?
I am thinking about going to this indoor go kart track that is about 30 min from my house, but I wanted to see if anyone else had ever done something like this. These are not normal go karts- they go around 40mph, have lap time displays on the steering wheels, and you have to be 18 to drive them. Are these things pretty fun, or is it just like going to a regular kiddie go-kart track, but just paying 4 times more?

I'm a member at one here is Sacramento called RPM (Race Place Motorports), and to be honest with you, it really is worth the money, its no where near as fun as the real thing , but its definately a blast either way.

I go to a local track with a few buddies (who race cars for a living) and it is a blast. My advice is to get to know the people who run the place so they can tell you which kart is running the best and they won't mind you bumping the kart with your friends. Have fun!

Saab, I think I know which one you are talking about. The one right on the KY IN boder? A guy at work goes there a lot and has been trying to get me to go but I haven't been able to because I'm mostly up in Dayton.
Anyways. It's ~$15 for only 10 (I think) minutes of racing time. Kind of pricy but the carts are pretty quick (~40mph top speed and lots of Gs around the corners) and he says they are a lot of fun.
No, it's not like the kiddie karts.
