Doesnt Texas have 80 mph speed limits on their interstates?
Yes, they do. It's not all the interstates, but headed west towards El Paso it definitely has an 80 mph speed limit.

I live in the Dallas area and the towns outside of Dallas are just as bad if not worse. That is why I leave my V1 on all the time.

Nay! Nay! A REQUIREMENT to bring in a certain income. If they don't bring in $X then they aren't working hard enough they are told. It's a performance standard.

And no, the internet and hear-say doesn't count.

I can verify this first hand it is the case because of family members and friends who are LEOs'.

It may not exactly be a $$$ amount in writing, but it translates into the same thing after the political spin.

Cops ARE given performance evaluations and "enforcement" of speed limits is highly encoraged. Performance evaluations are directly tied to merit increases and the best way to pad your evaluation is to write as many speeding tickets as you can. If a said cop is being true to the public and truly serving and protecting, enforcing real laws and protecting citizens from true crime does not make $$$ and will not add up like hiding behind a billboard and nabbing people for say 43 in a 40 all week. So we will call these two cops Good cop and the pig. The pig generates significant revenue for his department and has many more encounters on file for the month while the Good cop only has afew because he caught some seat thieves, or child molestors and had to spend time in court helping prosecute them.

Now on paper, the fat lazy pig seems to be a good cop because he made his department ALOT of money and appears "busy" because of the multitude of cash citations he wrote. While the Good cop doesnt look nearly as good on paper becuse he did REAL police work and wasnt a coward who hid.

The cops who troll this forum know this is the case and truth. Its easier to be a bully and push around good citizens who have alot to lose rather than protect them and go after real criminals who wouldnt hesitate to show the lazy pigs that they are not bullet proof gods.

So after the political spin is thrown out, damn straight its a $$$ quota. Not to mention they will take heat from their superiors if they dont appear "busy" on paper and guess how that translates....
