i don't bag on them, since i used to smoke cigs, among other things

 

Smoking is a choice. Its like speeding, not wearing a seat belt, eating red meat, etc. You weigh the dangers against the pleasure. No right or wrong answer. Just a choice.

 

Smoking cigarettes is slow suicide. People who don't respect their own bodies enough to prevent intentional harm don't deserve my respect.

I am a firm beleiver in the school of thought that theorizes: "Cancer is genetic in that either you are predisposed or you are not."

My grand fater lived to be 92, died stepping off a curb in front of a truck. He smoked 3 packs a day of Camel unfiltered for more years than my Dad was alive.

On the other hand, my uncle (by marriage) never smoked a day in his life, was an English professor and died of lung cancer.

Hell, I never thought I would live to see thirty, now I look back on 30 fondly...
