Default Aggressive daschund puppy....

My gf and I have a pure breed daschund puppy thats around 8 months old. He hasn't been nuedered, cause we have plans in breeding him at some point. Now heres the wierd part about him. When i'm alone with the dog hes very docile and nice, likes to sleep alot, very loving, etc. But when my gf is around he likes to bite her and me aggresively and is very restless and won't just chill out and sit there like it is with me alone. He is for sure playing, but is biting pretty damn hard.

We have been potty training him, and both have been disciplining him the same way when he slips up and goes to the bathroom on the carpet. If i'm sleeping he'll just lay next to me and pass out, but if my gf is laying in bed with me or alone the thing wont stop walking around, chewing/biting the blankets, etc,etc its pretty annoying.

So what do you guys think it is? Do you think its a case of he thinks im dominate and senses weakness in my gf so acts out of control? I know hes gonna be a little more crazy cause he wasn't fixed but its wierd. Like for instance my gf is gone right now and hes just laying next to the computer chair asleep. But when my gf goes on the computer he chews on her computer chair non stop. And also if we're both here and not in the same room, the dog will always be with her, rarely will it come to sit next to me and if it does it will run back to her in a matter of seconds. Anyone have any tips to chill this dog out around my gf. Thanks

Ryan

IMO, she needs to practice dominance training with this dog. Stuff like holding it upside down beyond its willingness to be held in place (just 30 seconds to a minute at a time). Those weiner dogs can be stubborn as heck.

Register and post on Chazhound.com forums. Good advice can be found there. There is also information on doggy nutrition you may not know there. Nice friendly forum.

Wack his ass with a fly swatter a few times and he'll behave. I have Bostons, they tend to get rowdy at times. When i go get the fly swatter
they know i mean business, i dont even have to swat em anymore.

No joke. We hired a dog trainer because my wife doesn't listen to me I'ved owned a lot of well-behaved dogs and he said the same things I did about being the alpha. One of his techniques was to sit on the floor, roll the dog over, and hold his paws so he is in a forced submissive position.

Anyway, she didn't listen to him either and now we have a 120 lb choc. lab that only listens to me...

make it clear that you are the boss of him.

a small pinch or a light whack on the nose will make that VERY evident.

dont beat the dog, just let him know that you are his master and that he must be obdient to you.

dogs are pack creatures, just make yourself the alpha male
