Default 2361miles...how much gas would I need?

If you had to drive 2361miles of highway...what do you estimate your grand total price of fuel to be if driving an s2000?

Thanks

It would cost you 8 tanks. 8 tanks, and the average premium gas being $3.40 a gallon, the trip would cost $326.40. This is assuming you have 0 detours. So, with detours, add an extra tank of gas, and the total becomes $366.40 or so. It's cheaper to fly if that's your question.

if you can average 260 miles a tank,.......which i can do on the "highway" and average 3.20 a gallon,..... roughly 280-300 bucks to go your determined distance.

buy a plane ticket and save the miles on the S and the 3-4 days of driving

260 miles per tank highway would be disappointing. I would expect to get at least 300 miles/tank. Thats a conservative 26mpg (You should be able to get close to 30), using 11.5 gallons per fill-up. Premium average is $3.317 as of today. 7.87 Fill ups * 11.5 * 3.317 = $300.20, or $299.93 CAD

I just made a run from Florida to Arizona and back last summer. Doing 10 over the speed limit most of the way I was getting about 32mpg. Refilling at about 310 to 320 miles per tank just to be safe

I think this question is missing a few variables, like location, altitude, road conditions, weather, traffic, cruising speed and a few others.

But off of my mpg average of my last 5 tanks being around 24.75 mpg, I would say 9.53~10 tanks to be on the safe side.

If you are getting 260 highway without flogging your car, something is wrong. I have gotten damn near 400 using cruise during long trips.
