Drinking Jeremiah Weed again. And no matter how many times I buy it I never learn from last time. It's always on sale and dusty here.
Chasing with flat ginger ale. Flat because jeremiah weed again. chasing because it tastes like race fuel.

Couldn't get into Jeremiah Weed.....gives me a headache.
I wanna get this Caribou Crossing stuff this weekend when I get some money in, looks tasty. Ever since Ellington Canadian whiskey I have always had a certain place in my liver for Canadian stuff.

The display looks better than Crown . Comes in a little baggy just like crown and a nice box. Is about $53 for a 750ml, so for the price, I'm expecting something smooth and extraordinary. I have yet to try it, I'm gonna get it either Thurs/Friday and will report how the taste test goes.

Tried several new bourbons over WTD, but returned home with a bottle of Pappy 10, 12, and 15 year plus the left over Noah's Mill
Noah's Mills reminds me of michter's due to the initial intake of almonds. The palate is woody and smooth. Medium bodied, with hints of toffee and nutmeg. Pretty good bourbon, but at $40, I can think of a few bourbons which are a better value.
Pappy 10 year (labelled Old Rip Van Winkle), is a very good entry level premium bourbon light oak nose, but a tremendous fulfilling palate yet a short unfulfilling finish. Not very complex (due to it's age I assume), so all you really taste is the oak char. I'd peg this pretty close to Makers, but smoother. Sadly this also has a screw off top, so I will not be purchasing another bottle.
Since I've already reviewed the 12 and 15 year, I'll just save those until DBR (maybe).
