let me know whats your price range - I'm currently in talks with two elises who are both from NJ - probably the only ones you'd find through normal outlets (forums/dealers)

there are some popping up here and there but its hard to find specific ones in the tri-state area - especially for a safe price range

im looking at '05's right now for less than 30k.. one has 15k miles - good price for that would be between 26-28k; other has 37k miles

'05's dont come with LED taillights as well.

but for 30-35k, you shouldn't have a problem finding a mint '06 elise

you'll see the one there with 37k miles, red one, in nj, asking 24.5, i'm going tonight to see that car.

the thing about that car however is that it was hit in the rear and the rear clam was replaced. they took it the steel wings though - a top-notch fantastic shop - that certifed no structure/engine/suspension problems were found. only thing that was replaced was the rear clam.

even though 37k miles is still low mileage, relatively speaking its high for a lotus just because these guys only drive their cars a couple thousand miles a year.

I'll let you know how tonight goes. The other lotus I have a deposit on currently is at princeton lotus (steel wings) and I'm waiting to hear back from them today.

 

35 grand gets you basically any elise you want. They are cheap these days!! Can find one with under 5k miles for that price or less.

 

Thanks Hiren! she just wants to get in the seat of an Elise so anything less expensive would be a plus.

 

well <35k would basically just be a '06 elise with some miles... MAYBE at '07 with miles but thats a stretch unless you get it for 35k exactly.. but honestly I would just opt for an '05 elise.. seriously I'd rather get the black elise because of the 'lower' miles and it wasn't in an accident, however having said that steel wings certified the repair on the red one and steve's auto body did the clam replacement/paint, the red one would also be a great choice. If I don't get the red one, you should definitely get it, and if I don't get the black one, you should definitely get that one.
