Default Canon EOS Rebel 450D/XSi kit

I have a minty fresh Canon 450D/XSi DSLR and accessories for sale. This is of course to the continental USA.

The Camera is given the XSi designation in the USA. Abroad, it is known as the 450D. It is a great beginner 1.6x crop frame DSLR. The basic specifications are below:

12.2 megapixel CMOS
3.0 inch LCD monitor
Live View function
3.5 FPS continuous shooting
High sensitivity (ISO 1600)
Picture Style settings
Uses Canon EF & EF-S lenses
Integrated cleaning system

The camera on www.bhphoto.com goes for $559 with an 18-55 kit lens:

My items for sale are as follows. All these can be purchased together for $750 plus shipping, or each item can be separated.

450D/XSi Camera Body $400. Comes with box, all cables, battery, strap, and everything that normally comes with it new. The camera is ~1 to 1.5 years old. It has approximately 3-4K shutter actuations, but I do not know the exact number.

Here it is pictured with the genuine Canon BG-E5 battery grip. Body and grip together for $475. Grip will come with box, both battery trays, instructions, etc. The grip is less than 2 months old.

Canon BG-E5 grip alone will be $95.

Virtually no wear on the tripod area. This has seen a tripod maybe 5 times.

Canon 55-250mm f/4-5.6 Autofocus and Image Stabilization. Immaculate condition, no visible marks anywhere. Comes with nonbranded retractable rubber hood. Retail price on this is $220-250. This can be yours for $175.

Comes with both Canon end caps.

And box too.

18-55mm "kit" lens. Retail is ~$170. This can be yours for $90. Autofocus and Image Stabilization.

No prices for these, but I would assume that you'd want this if you purchased the camera. This would come if you bought the everything for $750.

Sample shots with this camera/lenses:

Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Hey Ahmed, is the carrying case available separately? If so how much gear does it hold?

Yes sir it is available separately. Comes with all the little velcro dividers and the extra shoulder pad thing. I think I used it once, and it sat in my trunk for the day. It will hold the basics (i.e.: body with small zoom lens, about 3 extra lenses (but nothing big), flashes, etc. Lots of small thin pockets on the side for manuals, caps, filters, memory cards, batteries, etc.

Here's what it looks like on the BHPhoto site:

Google Image shows something like this inside:

You live right near me, right? Want to do like $35?

I got myself a 7D It's pretty complicated. I've been reading and re-reading the manual all week and trying to get used to it.

Hmm well I have an EOS 40D, 17-55 f/2.8, 70-200 f/4L, and 50 f/1.8. I have a Lowepro bag right now that it all fits into. The thing I like about this Canon bag is the shoulder strap clips are metal, they're cheap plastic on the Lowepro (the 40D, 17-55, and 70-200 are VERY heavy together). But the thing I like about the Lowepro is that everything points downward so it isn't bulky to carry off of my shoulder. Hmm.

Congrats on the 7D!

BTW if you can swing the cost, the 17-55mm f/2.8 (constant aperture) is a stellar lens for the EF-S mount. The fact that it's not straight EF is the only thing preventing it from being called an L lens.

Well, I have this (Tamrac Expedition 5X) that I will want to get rid of. I'm going for the shoulder/messenger style one instead. Oh yeah, even though the "surround" of my Canon bag is metal. The actual clip part that you "squeeze" is still black plastic.

You want that? Haha. I use it now just to store stuff.

And I'm going to be picking up a 24-70 2.8L. I already have a 70-200 2.8L IS, a Sigma 10-20, and a 50mm 1.8 prime. I think the 24-70 will complete what I need. It's not the price that concerns me, it's just that I feel guilty spending the money haha. I just picked up so much stuff recently. I don't even get to play with the camera much.

Wow that is going to be one sick setup! I look forward to seeing many pictures from you this season!

I'm going to hold off on the bag because I wear mine across my body like a messenger bag anyway so that's what I should be looking for. Thanks, though.
