Rakim has a new album out, Strong Island !!!!
check it out- Rakim The seventh seal
Rakim has been my Favorite Rap/Hip Hop artist since I heard him way back
I find it so upseting when a fan of this genre of music has not heard of him espially since its still a pretty small community of NY rappers, even smaller if you narrow it down to just Long Island born rappers

LI rappers are EPMD and De La Soul and Leaders of the New School and so forth..
Rakim is one of the original come at you hard poetic rappers.

Maybe they Eric B and Rakim are from queens but Rakim Grew up in Wyandanch and I'm pretty sure he still lives there.
Wasnt he supposed to make a return a few years back and nothing ever came out of that. He did that duet with Truth Hurts and fizzled out...

Yea I guess Rakim moved to suffolk later in life. Yea he was supposed to make a come back years ago, He signed with Aftermath (dr.Dre) and they had creative differences and he left, Came back to NY and started all over. Released his new album The Seventh Seal in Nov. And yea Keith Murray is from my town Central Islip. I dont know if you wanna call him a Hip Hop artist or Rapper really but.. Biz Markie is from Bellport lol The bad part of Bellport.

His "We Are Lasers" tour was announced and tickets went up today. I got two already
He will be at the Fillmore at Irving Plaza in NYC on 4/10/2010
