SCARY moment at work last night

joey i was flying back from the bahamas last night and since there was a storm in ny all the airports were closed and we circled around NC until we ran outta gas and had to land there to fill up. i have flown a lot and thats NEVER happend

I imagine staying calm and executing just as you did in training is what a pilot needs to do when in a bind like you experienced.
Do they give good maintenance to those planes? I've read they don't, costs too much and gotta keep those planes in air as long as possible.

The Engines are Rollys-Royce, so they usually hold up quite well
