US Military to sell Humvees in auction. The only catch is that they cant be used on-road and you must state the purpose these vehicles will be used for.

Better to be employed than be in the shoes of some people that got the boot where I work. IMHO, this is the worst time of year to give someone a pink slip. Hope the overtime is compensated Mark
Jeff - be sure to post pics of the man cave when you are done. Interested to see the hidden door.

Don't I know it. My wife has missed 12 weeks of pay this year bouncing from contract to contract. She has been sent home without a job on Christmas Eve more than once. Fortunately, she came home today with news that she has been extended for 3 more months.

Ouch!
One advantage to being self employed is that you are free from the vagaries of management.
One disadvantage is that you can't can yourself so easily.
I was hoping to get a pinkslip, but since another year has flown by with me not able to live within my means, it is looking that I will have to keep working.
I wonder if Harry will be getting a big party, a lifetime supply of Twinkies, Medicare and Social Security all at the same time. A Red Banner day if ever there was one!
Jeff, how does the door latch work on the hidden door?

This is why I stay at my job for now. Not terribly pleased with it anymore, but it is stable. That steady paycheck is probably what keeps me from dipping my toes in the waters.
In other news, my wife just got another raise at her new job. Her second in three months. At the rate she is going, she'll be earning more than me by about April.
