I like that. Love to hear how folks pronounce Cayuga (we say "Cue-ga"), Keuka ("Cue-ca"), or Taughannock ("Ta-gan-ick").

^ I always thought it was Shen-ek-tady until a former GE guy in Atlanta told me how it was pronounced. I'm still learning

One more on the list. Valatie which is pronounced va-ley-sha.

^ one more I was wrong about and corrected by someone. Delhi in Upstate NY is pronounced Del-hai unlike the capital city of a certain South Asian country.

I wonder what Greek got off the barge in Western New York.

Did you ever watch Deadwood? Several of the characters (e.g., Swearengen & Farnum) (not Wu) spoke like they were just off stage from a Shakespeare play. Supposedly in the late 19th century, the Bible and Shakespeare were the two main sources of reading material, so people spoke in a much higher "tone" that today.

Maybe the guy who named Western New York only had Homer and Thucydides in his library.

Sleety snowy mix here today. Not ready for that, the 911 had not been put to bed yet. I am hoping for a warm/dry up to get it out to my sisters place for its nap!
Anne left this am for her new job beginning tomorrow morning. Crappy day for a 5 hour drive.

Put the car away and bought a snow blower off of craigslist.

MG at home as I need to pull engine and transmission.

Hope Anne makes lots of money if she has to commute 5 hours to work.

Stabil in, tank topped off. Paint cleaned and polished, but wax was sticking to the cold paint. Will have to wait for a warmer day to wax.

Good luck to Anne as well. Hope she got there safe.

Mr. Osprey - we don't need snowblowers, do we??

Weekend spent catching up on racing. Both F1, and recordings of PWC and Continental Tire Series. It was very windy but the damn leaves don't seem to have blown anywhere
