^^ She did get the extended warranty with which she can even have warranty work done at FH.

Thats an interesting fact that the filters used on the S & the CRX-Si are the same. I wonder if its also the same with the Si. Gotta investigate.

All maintenance will be done at Formula H. I'm going to see if I can start paying Pat to "help me" a few times on the oil and other fluids. Then I should be good to go solo.

Not sure what you mean about not doing anything for a few years? Tadashi had everything needed and more. I am going to use Mobil 1 in this car though

I don't mind the driving to a dealer at all - it's the TIME away from my computer involved to goto a dealer 20 miles when I could be billing someone $75/hour!

My 320 mile drive was stretched to 425 in order to travel with Aashish this weekend. I wonder if I will be over 36,000 again in 2 years?

^^ hey! atleast you got to engage VTEC right.

The drive was a lot of fun though, especially the rainy portion.

The way I read what you typed out is sounded as if you were going to neglect the car just because the dealer was 30-miles away. Glad to hear that is not the case.

Mobil 1 is the wrong stuff to use in the rear diff, there are way better options out there.
Mobil 1 is the wrong stuff to use in the tranny, the Honda MATF is fantastic
Mobil 1 in the engine is fine, but lots of people ccomplain the synthetic softens up the VTEC transition.

I used synthetic for 6,000 miles, and then went back to regular oil, and am very happy I did go back.

^^ So synthetic is not all that it is made out to be, for the S. Makes sense though - a hand-built car may be a lot more sensitive in how it responds to different kinds of fluids.

Hey Doug , what do you use for rear diff?

I can't remember what it is called, I have the empty bottle saved at home, it was something like Fluid Technologies or Lubrication something, I can't remember. I do recall it was purple and it was a single viscosity which is what Honda specs. Many people have gone with Mobil 1 75W90 but most people who compete with their car believe that fluid is too thin, so I use the purple stuff.
