Still in the barn. Have to go to Rochester this weekend, so it will stay there for at least another week.

Im going to do my first oil change this weekend. Having put summer tires on the other car, I feel I now have what it takes to finish the oil change and do a brake fluid flush.

After that I intend to get my car dirty driving it in all kinds of weather.

When I hand in yellow plates Nov '11, will I get upcharged again for a second set of yellow plates in April '12?

- Purchase Drain Pan and Oil Filter Wrench.
- Also renew Registration for the S2000 (options $55- same plates; ~$80- new plates; ~$100- new plates with old number)

Thought about driving over to the DMV this weekend to get the plates and put the S back on the road...

...but I'm not gonna. I think I'll keep it in the garage for a bit and wait for all my lovely parts to come in and get installed first

If you can find this type, I believe they are the best, but they have to be made out of thick steel, or thick cast metal, the thing sheetmetal ones are too flimsy.

GOOD

CRAP

I bought one of these back in 1989, I have used it since then on both CRX's and the S2000. I buy the big diameter S2000 filter for the CRX,, originally that is the size filter that was used, nowadays the default filter is the much smaller one, but I refuse to go there, I just buy S2000 filters in bulk and use them on both cars.

I have always had problems with the Titan and the Frontier, could never find a decent socket type remover. Then, hahaha, last year I bought a good filter socket for the VFR, and one day it just hit me, :damnn, that looks like the Frontier size" and yup, sure enough, the VFR socket works for the Frontier filter.

Good luck shopping

Would a Sears or Harbor Freight carry these? Is there a size I must be looking for?

For the S2000, I bought the OEM filter wrench. Fits the Honda filters well, and has a cut out in it that you can fit a screw driver into to pry the filter out of the wrench.
