You're looking for Brighton or Henrietta in the east/southeast/south sections of town. One that popped out is the Courtyard East but also consider downtown locations. Rochester is not a modern, planned city - it's an old 1800s town with roads that follow old cow paths around the river that bisects it. It's very compact so the distances aren't as great as you might expect.

Interesting. I am volunteering at the PGA next year. I should be up for the week. Staying with a friend at his in-laws, so unfortunately, I can't offer any space.

As for meeting some of the Rochester folks, I'm sure this thread will reappear closer to next August, and perhaps a get together and cruise that week would work.

As for hotels, I stayed at the RIT Center for my friend's wedding. I'm not sure if its a Marriott or something else, or even just the 'hotel at RIT'.. Any locals want to refresh my memory.
