I was enjoying an uphill left handed sweeper a little bit more than Doug. Didn't realize how fast I caught up to him!
Told ya I had some old lady in me

wow! cool. Im all over my keyboard. Both VFR's look awesome. I feel nearly as excited as the day I got my first motorcycle. Brought back some memories.

You BRO's MAN

Definitely gonna start seriously thinking about riding again. A VFR may be too much, but I probably will look at a smaller displacement bike.

I'm so glad you had a good time, I know I did, and I agree, we need more twisties, I can arrange that, and we should do this monthly, and if Chris wants to join, sure, got camera?

I agree, the orange looks good to me with the yellow bike.

[QUOTE=Conedodger,May 26 2010, 08:50 AM] Speaking of Doug's exhaust...

...he got the attention of the Harly guy when we pulled up next to him at a light.

After our gas stop in Honeoye we pulled over for a quick group shot.
After staring at this for a while, Mark, your bike looks naked without the VFR logo on the lower side fairing

Bikers are bikers, the rule is, we don't care what you ride as long as you ride!
Once, long ago, in a land far far away I used to believe this...

However, imagine this situation, it was real
I get off to get gas in Naples NY
I pull up to the gas pump and there is a big Harley at the pump in front of me
There is a huge man pumping gas into the Harley, a huge muscular man, huge muscles, I'm intimidated, he does not even look happy
He finishes pumping, walks around his bike and towards me, and barks out to me as he points to his AMA sticker
"Do you know what that means fool? Out of my way assshole!"
I was downright scared there for a minute, and had no desire to try and explain that would have been OMA not AMA.

I like the "naked" look.

The 6th gen didn't have VFR decals. Mine came with Interceptor decals on the sides of the tail section. One was damaged from a drop by the PO, so I took them off.

I understand intimidated. When I was a kid, a flat black, hard tailed chopper with open pipes pulled into my driveway. The rider had a vest flying his gang's colors on it, a beard, pony tail, and a straight razor in his boot. Then I realized it was my uncle! Whew!!

Bet he wishes now that he didn't chop up that late 70s Triumph!

Wow...I've been riding for a LONG time, been to countless rallies and never
had that kind of reaction from any biker no matter what they were riding.

That's good, it's your bike

Me like da logo!

In fact, I just finished cleaning this up, for our custom tank bag logo strip
