I'd rather "live." Full face for me, law or not. Not to mention, bugs don't taste so good.

Are people just dumb or completely clueless or both?!?!?!
Do you run with an open face helmet?
Was this fluid in you face or onto your helmet?
Some people are just clueless.
Some people are not clueless, I have intentionally sprayed an open face Harley rider when he acted like a f'ing assshole when I finally got in front of him

1st off I have to say- what an asss, you just don't do that on public streets where those kinds of actions could kill innocent people

2nd off I have to say- I wish I had his balls because they have to be f'ing huge, I don't even like going 50mph in the rain

Wow, sorry to hear you don't waer a full face as they are safer
But then again, you only ride a cruiser style bike

VFRD seems to be down this morning
Where the helll is the R&R mounted?
Forget it, I found it
I got a ton of thick aluminum stock, and all the equipment to cut it
I wonder if I might just do this mod
Damnn, you are (Cone) even less active on VFRD than you are here, or, you just refuse to post in my threads

The forum brain seems to think that aluminum plate is not a wise idea, and I can appreciate their concerns, but I still see some merit of mounting the R&R to 2 small aluminum strips about 0.1875" thick, it will help to insulate it from the heat of the frame, put it ever so slightly more into an airflow, and give it more airflow on the backside.

Well the R&R has been removed, a simple task. While I had the tail fairing pulled I was able to remove a big and thick steel plate that had been used to mount the CB antenna. I have also discovered 1 missing tail light screw, as well as a missing rubber bushing that helps to support the tail light, so I will be at Hollink on Saturday morning to order a few parts.

The only thing I find odd, the new R&R picture does not show a big rubber boot, the OEM R&R includes this big rubber boot that slips over the 2 big plug connections for water protection. I guess if the new R&R does not come with this I will cut it off, apply it to the new R&R connectors and hope that electrical tape will hold it together where I have to cut it apart.

Clearly, I'm not making my riding school this Sunday, but that might be a blessing, as I'm not trying to learn how to push the bike and myself, IN THE RAIN...

Today I taught Hogan how to remove and clean his carbs.
I also reinforced the need to drain them in the Fall...
Came out perfect.

What do you do to fuel injection for the winter? I ride it to the corner for the last fill up, add Stabil, and take about a 10 minute ride around the block.

A lot of fuel behind the injector so it doesn't dry up like a vented float bowl.
Sta-bil it is my friend...
