Progressive quoted him a grand a year for full coverages.

Wow
Wonderful ride, but damnn that's costly, and Progressive is who I have the VFR with, and as I recall it is even less than the Vulcan premium
Beautiful bike though, but I have no idea how I would have dealt with son and no insurance and registration and riding the thing home
I have Progressive too...$70 a year. I self insure for collision. (In 27 years of riding, I've saved ~ $10K dollars by not having collision coverage. That is twice the cost of the most expensive bike I have purchased to date.)

I have been very pleased with Progressive
I had Progressive on the Nighthawk for like forever
Then I put the VFR on Allstate because I was assured it would be lower because the house and cars and truck was with Allstate
That turned out to be a f'ing lie...
Now I'm back with Progressive

And, as I have always said with posts about insurance, quoting a price is useless unless you also state the coverage you are paying for

It's a 2008 and he paid $8500.
Took this beast for a ride last weekend.

omg it is SCARY FAST...got it up to 90 in about a 1/2 mile (if that) and didn't even get to 6k rpms. The thing red lines at 13k!

Looks appealing to me, especially the cafe racer. What do you guys think?

I like the whole concept of how simple it all is. Considering the cost and also that they have more models in the pipeline I will be keeping an eye on them.

I like this one too
