I had a pair of sunglasses that made clouds look 3d when the visor was down. Cool effect, but distracting.

^ It was such a pain, and a safety concern, I woukd have to tip the visor up, pull my glasses down, and lean into the dash to see the engine temp, not smart to say the least as when I'm not looking through the glasses anything farther than 1-yard away was out of focus...

Thank goodness, these glasses are great in both cars.

I haven't paid a lot of attention to why they made the change. I think they are trying to make MotoGP more affordable for the private teams to get involved so they can put on a show with a larger field of riders. (Seems to have worked. I haven't watched the race yet, but saw 22 entries. Up about 40% from last season.) I believe the 1000s are closer to production. Makes them easier/cheaper and more connected with what they actually sell to the general public.

There is a 2001 VFR on Craigslist with 1200 original miles. A little pricey at $6k, but if I didn't have mine, I'd be looking at it.

More on CRT and 1000cc in MotoGP: CRT article

Saying he thought CRT was the way of the future, Edwards agreed.

"The reality of it is last year, MotoGP racing was really boring," he said. "I'm guilty of falling asleep watching my own races. We need the pizzazz and racing and barbanging that (support series) Moto2 has. The technology in Moto2 is more even and cheaper. Sometimes simple is better."

My sentiments exactly!

Makes perfect sense
I did not record the race, my bad
When is the next one, I'll be sure to program the DVR for the season
