I HATE SEARCHING FOR SOMETHING ON FORUMS
I just want a good detailed thread teaching me about chain lubrication and cleaning
From what I can find everybody on VFRD does it more often than I am
I wipe mine down with a rag and re-lube at 500 mile intervals. (Think that is Honda's recommendation for mileage.)
My chain is super clean, the major S100 bath last night I have to thank for that
What lube do you like to use, and how exactly do you do it?

I use the blue can. I've heard the yellow can is better, but the blue is available at Lowes.

I lube the chain when it is warm, after a ride. Put the bike on the center stand, in neutral, motor off. Wipe down the chain with a rag while turning the tire. Place a piece of cardboard behind the chain/sprocket to cover the tire and wheel. I spray along the lower chain run, again, while turning the tire by hand. Let it sit overnight and you are good to go!

Doug, you want to watch me take my wheels off Thursday night?
Yes and no

Yes- I would love to
No- If watching you means you won't come help me do mine for the 1st time

Come over after work on Thursday. You can watch me do mine. Then I'll watch you do yours when the time comes!

Just saw your reply
Lowes, interesting

So you like the WAX approach over the OIL approach???

I want to run out to the Bloomfield place just to get an impression, pricing on mount/balance and if they can get the tires for a decent price

Oil is messy. The wax keeps everything cleaner. No "fling" to coat the wheel. Read the review at the link I posted.

I'm going to hit Lowes tonight on the way home
Seems like that stuff, blue can, gets lots of good reviews and I need something now
I think I'll order a can of the yellow, so we can check it out
