Off to rebuild and straighten some bent forks...
Told Nick when he's home for Christmas break, we'd finish assembly on an old trailbike, so I have to do my thing, so he can do his.

What a great Dad! Mine introduced me to Watkins Glen, F1, and helped rebuild my first car. But we have not done any father/son stuff in 35 years.

He's tired. That's all.
Nick has so much energy... He calls and we talk cars and bikes for hours.
He's a sponge for information and has a great memory.
He tells me that all he wants to do is spend free time (after wife and child) with me.
It's a nice feeling to have a son who's like a best friend too.
Lucky. It's what I wanted with my Dad, but that was impossible.

There are two father son teams that I autocross with that are like you and Nick. Great to see such relationships.

While at the cycle shop, I took the heads and cylinders off a vs800 intuder.
Bike had the sparkplug fail, and the electrode broke off and was digested.
The head is salvageable, but the piston / cylinder are toast.
Newish bike, just plonking along. The tiniest of part failure...
