Oh, and BTW
I found this place - http://www.gemplers.com/index.aspx?s...rid=6116851105
And have ordered one of these - http://www.gemplers.com/product/1392...ection-T-shirt
$13.50 for a moisture wicking t-shirt seemed like a good deal
I'll let ya know what I think of their quality and sizing
They also have long sleeve for only $15.50

Cool.
I like the lip.
I have found I'm perfectly happy with how my visor works.
I really don't want more protection from the wind, I must be within the perfect ergonomic height, it's all good for me as is.

The only time my helmet shield is open is when I'm stopped, as soon as I start rolling it get's closed fully
Keeping it closed on a hot day is not an issue, my head is not the part that gets too hot
And if I did want to open the visor that would be no biggie because I always have glasses on, and my glasses are just plain-ole perscription glasses, the frames are OSHA spec safety frames as are the lenses

Speedohealer works! Haven't had a chance to check it with GPS, but got a chance to check it against a radar warning sign. It was dead nuts on at 42 MPH.
Might have to go back and check it at other speeds.

It is 7.7% low. Doesn't bother me. I just made a correction table in my maintenance log that will tell me the actual mileage for every 500 miles on the odometer. For example, when the odometer shows 50,000 miles, the actual will be 52,920 miles. (The calculation takes into account that the correction factor starts at 15k miles when I installed the Speedohealer.)

- my thumb fell asleep on my right hand this morning on the way in, 1st time since surgery
- my fingers joints are sore from squeezing too hard to hold onto the handlebars
- had the worst time trying to get the blinker on and off
- turned off the blinker that was not even on and missed the horn when I was trying to encourage a woodchuck to pick up the pace
- slipped the clutch bad three times trying to start out from a stop
- stalled the bike once trying to start out from a stop
- front brakes felt like crap because the way I applied them was anything but smooth
- handlebars felt like I was holding onto something about 4" in diameter, nice nice slick handlebars
I HATE WEARING GLOVES!

That's cool, but how far off is your odometer now?
I have a couple extra MPH fudge factor
But I'm glad you like your mod!

I keep hoping someday somebody comes out with a glove that offers protection, but feels like an Isotoner.
The leather gloves I have are real bike gloves, and they are not too bad, at least the leather is thin.
This morning I tried a new pair I bought, they have a gel pad in the palm, very good, but the thumb and finger tips are just too thick.
Honestly, I'm considering these as a set of gloves.
Isotoner® therapeutic gloves]
With Isotoner Seamless Support™ all seams are turned to the outside of the glove and away from the skin, for less irritation to painful areas. In fact, Isotoner therapeutic gloves are the only gloves available without a seam at the base of the thumb, since the base of the thumb area (carpometacarpal and metacarpo-phalangeal joints) is a common area of pain.
