I was thinking about ... how much was I gripping the handlebar
You shouldn't be using hardly any effort to grip the bars. Your fingers should be relaxed to the point that they are barely in contact, very light touch. I'm still working on that concept, but getting better.
Gripping might have been a less than perfect word for me to use
Yes, I know full well, light touch, no weight resting, it's just like the car, fingertip lightness on the steering wheel
If anything I am way, way closer to having the light grip down as habit, the thing I continue to work on the most is the squeezed knees
I guess in a way the carpal tunnel may have helped my get better at the light holding onto of the bars as it was my only chance in hell of delaying the onslought of numbness

Yeah, I'm still working on that too. You would think after 3 seasons on the VFR, I'd have that down.

How hard do you think the install would be of this, or more specifically, how hard is the taking apart of the bike so this can be installed?

Zero Gravity Dark Smoke SR Series Windscreen

My clear windscreen is showing its age.
I look over it totally, never through it.
I think the black looks really cool.
I have no desire to make it taller, just new and black.

I do not like 42 BCK as that is the max cold pressure, the OEM tire must have had a higher max cold pressure, I just don't like being right at the limit all the time
The 6-psi difference front to back is not the way I have ever ridden, I'm getting them a bit closer and will watch the wear and go from there

I would think you would want to look carefully at your tires max pressure and not just go with the suggested pressures for a set of tires you no longer have on the bike, but that's just me.

Mine is the OEM, but I have had it off the bike. If I remember correctly, there is only a screw or two on each side, and then it slides back, off some clips.

Biggest challenge is figuring out what model is the closest to OEM
One VFRD guy suggested pulling off the old, painting it black on the inside surface, and putting it back on the bike

I considered doing that to mine. Even bought the paint. Decided I'd like to find a used one to paint and keep mine original. I've heard of issues with the fit of aftermarket screens.
