Never knew there was another museum like Barber. Will have to make a trip there sometime.

1975 CR750

Assembled on a private commission with no expenses spared from the frame up in 1975 to race in the French Bol d'or and Lemans 24 hour endurance races by Yoshimura North , this machine was never raced. Instead, it was parked on display indoors in a climate-controlled private art collection for the past 37 years, without being ridden or started, completely dry-stored w/o fuel, brake fluid or oil. This is not a recent build from parts on ebay. Its more of a work of art from another era.
I recently acquired this dream motorcycle from its very elderly and eccentric owner (who related its remarkable history to me) with the intention of turning it into a unique vintage streetbike. But in order to make it street-worthy, too many incredible details need to be changed which I have decided would not be in its best interest. I mean, the tank doesn't have a scratch on it or gas in it forever, the Goodyear racing slicks are hard as a rock, the ARD magneto is set at full advance, the CR31 carbs have no idle circuit...there's never been a dead bug splattered on it. Do I take this thing apart and cut the gorgeous safety-wiring to change these priceless rare bits just so I can ride it around the block? So it stayed "retired" and I decided instead to enter it in a bike show.
It was shown to the public for the very first time in 2012 at Mid-Ohio Vintage Motorcycle Days, and took 1st Place in the Bike Show, with Motorcycle Hall of Famer Craig Vetter judging.
I am in the market for a new streetbike, so its available for sale. Price is negotiable. Condition is museum-quality. I have original title. Pictures hardly do it justice. No tire kickers, please. (ie: the genuine CR750 tachometer alone is worth $2,000.).

Located Long Island, NY and residing in my art studio. detail@optonline.net
