Upstate gathering at my house 1/23!!!!!!!
Greetings all,
I will be hosting a night of blackjack, poker, foosball, drinking, and BBQ at my house on Friday the 23rd. S2000 not required but recommended
Regarding the blackjack game:
A friend of mine has a complete blackjack setup including casino quality chips and the blackjack felt used in casinos. The rules are better than you'll find in any game in the east. (How's that for a pitch!), Double after split, resplit aces, etc. The only down side is he deals a 6 deck shoe. This is primarily a matter of convenience more than anything.
This is how we structure the game:
You probably know the house usually has the advantage in Blackjack. To make it fair in our game the players are given the option of "buying into the house" at the beginning of the night. The players percentage of winnings (or losses) in the house bank is equal to their "ownership" percentage of the house. For example, if there are 4 players that each put in $20, they each have a 25% stake in the house. At the end of the night let's say the house is up $20, each player would get $25. This way everyone can play both sides of the table, so to speak. Make sense?

Hey James,
We usually play hold'em (no-limit I think). I've played 3 times in my life so I'm NOT playing you, mr. tournament guy!
Actually I prefer blackjack so that's probably what I'll be playing most of the night. Bring Kadie too if she can make it.

Although it's a Friday night, a night of great religious significance to me (6th Day Adventist?!?), I will forego my attendance of services to be at Hood Central.

At this time I can't confirm, I hit the half century mark on the 22nd so I may be in a state of shock on the 23rd.
Seriously I don't know the agenda in my house for that night right now.
