You didn't read these did you...
Now... you're being a tad insulting.
You asked for opinions, I gave mine.
I wish you success in your endevour.

No no no, please don't take that the wrong way. I just read both those articles in full and i do not see anything there that labels this for a pyramid scheme or provides any proof of such that. The first article actually promoted Ambit and the second one tells you, yes it can be done, most people will not succeed because they give up

with me its been Amway-Quixtar. Of course friendships were re-built once they became disillusioned with the cult.

I've been on my own since I was 17. As a senior I went to school until about noon then got out early so I could go to work 4-6 hours.
I also got about $75 a month in food stamps because I was under 18 and still going to school. That stopped when I turned 18 and I worked full time for $110 take home.
I would have LOVED the opportunity to goto college but it was not in the cards.
I wasn't on my own at that age, but worked just about every day after school, close to 30 hours a week during high school to save money for college.
Same here, well, sort of same, I was not on my own at 17, and I started working when I was about 13 on the farm next door, not every day, but for sure, work and pay was put into my life very early, and in highschool, those jobs seemed to pay for car insurance, car maintenance, car purchase price, and recreation is all, no real saving was accomplished back then. I was a grocery store clerk for Star Markets, and yup, on Sunday I was the Assistant Mgr and got to wear the green sportcoat.
