It was kinda funny...
I got into a big road check point situation and was not able to sneak out of it
I rode the bumper of the minivan up to the cops, hoping
I get to the front of the line, the cop looks at my valid stickers and waves me on
I start to roll and he holds out his hand so I stop
He asks- where's your front plate
I sigh loudly and say on the floor next to me
He asks- why is it not on your car
I look at him, smile, shrug my shoulders and do my best to look like a wounded animal
He says- so you don't have it on because it looks bad on such a cool car
I look him right in the eye, smile big, and hold up my arms, inner wrists together gesturing he can now cuff me
He smiles- waves me through, and says, go on
Then he says, and when you get home put that thing on, and he looks at me
At that moment all I could think of is we both knew that was not about to happen, but he had bigger fish to fry that day

Looks like I'll wrap up the tour myself because you'll be gone
No biggie, I'm in much better shape today
And I know Skip and GayLynn always enjoy doing a proofreading cycle as they no longer do the drive itself
I'm just so glad your son is home and you can spend the time with him

Why flip-flops must never be worn outside the house and a proper shoe must be worn when driving. This happened in Albanyand I did not know of it.
