Glad to hear Tom is OK.

Let me guess...the kid was texting.

Tom was involved in an accident, rear ended by a young driver in a CR-Z of all things. Brian passed the accident on his way home and stopped, then recognized it was Tom. They took him in an ambulance because he was in such a daze.

Now we are dealing with not having Tom's car again for at least a week. The rear ending driver's insurance company (Allstate) promised all kinds of things yesterday, including a rental car however the rental agency wants OUR credit card information to charge a $250 deposit.

Ellen glad to hear Tom is ok. Im so sorry that this had to happen to him. Must have been a hard impact to leave him feeling dazed.

As far as the rental car goes, the hold is standard practice. They do it everytime. You wont get charged, and AllState will pay for it. They use the card to put a hold on it as a guarantee of some sort. Even otherwise you may not need a rental. You could lend him the Fit and drive the S.

HOLY CRAP
I'm so glad to hear Tom is ok!!!

I just hope you all will come see me in jail, because if someone did that to me and I was in the CRX-Si or the S2000, I would get out of my car, walk back to their car, and kill them...

Video from Sunday. Not mine, camera wasn't cooperating. This is a comparison of two of my friends sharing the same car. I was about a second faster.

Ellen,

You DO realize that you will have to baby Tom now that his is bruised and abused by the motoring public. I hope his back and neck will be alright.
