Are you talking about the Macbook stuff? Because I've been so slammed at work I've not had time to even think about it.
Last night I came home from work and drank an entire 12-pack (granted, over the span of 7 hours which is why I'm functioning today). I need a vacation.

Apple has an academic discount for anyone that is affilaited to the education system. Case in point a relative who is an academic and I went to the local Apple Store as he wanted to purchase a Macbook. He was informed of the academic discount and asked to show ID. Being on vacation, he did not have his Academic ID on him. Apple store guy said any kind of proof would be ok, even a business card. I pulled out my old faculty card and asked if that could be used, and they gave my relative the discount + goodies like a color printer and an iPod touch.
Thought Crazy was helping you get an academic discount as I've heard of several people doing that.
