I was proud of Sarah yesterday.

She spent some time checking out websites for a new car. I was pleasantly surprised to learn she liked the Mazdaspeed 3 - without me even suggesting it.

Now all she needs to do is learn to drive a stick...

All she needs is a big empty parking lot, then some quiet back roads along with a patient teacher, and she'll make you a great DD.

Did a bunch of posts go missing again? Or did I accidentally put someone on ignore again?

Having a DD is a good/responsible thing. Years ago we were out to dinner with a group of people. One couple got there early and there was a long wait for a table. By dinner time the guy was . He fell asleep at the dinner table. His wife got pi$$ed and called her Dad for a ride home. She couldn't drive a stick.

I'm surprised at the number of people who take off in an S2000 or other manual transmission vehicle with a +1 that doesn't know how to drive a stick. What if there is an emergency and the +1 needs to drive? My +1 broke a leg on a trip to NH once. Good thing I knew how to drive a stick so we could get home. Another time he trashed his shoulder body surfing. (Maybe he's accident prone?) Things happens. It's good to be prepared. It's not that difficult to learn how to drive a stick.

Well I hope poor Brian has a place to stay himself

Matter of fact you are the second person to say that, my significant other being the first.

Im just meeting up with him because he is a real nice guy and very helpful too. He will be missed in the Civic community here.

I had Sarah sit in the driver's seat of the S last night. She does not have an easy time seeing over the dash.

I may be having her learn on the truck.
