A wet beach towel placed over the front of the car does wonders to soften bugs before you wash. I wet the car down, place the wet towel on it, let it sit for 10-15 minutes, remove towel and wash.

And the bug and tar remover was well used removing the bugs and rubber from various places.
For my vehicles that don't use Zaino, I use NuFinish wax as a cleaner
It will disolve bugs and tar easily, the trick is to rotate the rag enough so you are picking up, not just spreading around
Hmm... I never knew that. never used that in the past and will have to keep it in mind in case I use B&T in the future. Thank you

It was great meeting you and your wife. These tires look like Formula 1 intermediates to me. I checked the codes on the ones on the car and they were from 02 so they probably were the original tires. There is quite a bit of tread left on them, I wonder if anyone could use them if I changed them out now? Maybe someone who burns them up quick like you autocross folks.

Unfortunately I don't think that would work for the streaks of melted rubber that ended up all over the car.

you are adding wax not just stripping it off.

better to prevent 90% of the bugs in the first place by using PLEDGE on the front of your car before long trips. no effect on paint... i've been doing it for 5 years and the S's paint up front is fine minus stone chips.

It's furniture polish...
BTW, Zaino makes the bugs slip right off
