Cobalt SS should have replaced the 335 on that list.

I like this review of the Veloster as it does not quite have the gushing that is becoming typical of anything from Hyundai.

Don't like stripe
To get 40-mpg from this car, it will never be quick
If Honda designed the S2000 to deliver 40-mpg it too would be boring
The neutral handling in that article sounds like a bad thing, but to me that sounds great
I don't want a FWD car oversteering on track, nor do I want it plowing, neutral is good
[/quote]
I read the review again more slowly, they do indeed like it
Two things stood out, how, exactly I said, the interior quality is amazing, better than some cars costind tens of thousands more, or to be more blunt, MB, what the f were you thinking???
And thing two of course was their belief that Hyundai is going to sell the crap out of this thing...
Oh, one more, I was amused all to hell they referenced the CRX.
Oh wait, and another, they put it on a level higher than Rex, not only that good as a sporty cool FWD sporty car, but more of a grand tourer.
Like the design or not, the key is, if the balls to the walls 208-hp turbo happens, this will be, the hot f'ing hatch of the decade. Period.
And I can sit around all day smilling at the 1-door on one side and the 2-doors on the other. Is that a hot 5-door hatch? Is that a hot 3-door hatch? No! It's both.
And as we are all drop top fans, let's not forget, slide open the interior plastic panel and holy crap, you are in a glass topped car. Come on you negative nannies, that's awesome for a $20k car.

I see the iPhone 4S has been officially unveiled.
*yawn*
I remember the day when I really liked and lusted after the iPhone. The Android platform and phones have really caught up to and surpassed the iPhone.

Nice link Aashish but the earlier cars are more interesting, at least to me. If you wanted to go fast in the early days Harry was the one to see. I think Oldfield's Sub was one of his first cars from scratch. Before building complete cars he modified engines and built them from scratch having the blocks cast at local foundries. Bob Burman was one of his customers too, jsut and engine maybe. Here is a link that shows the sub, I think Oldfield raced it mostly without the streamlined body work.

Them are fighting words mister
What if we get to see you rhetorically state yet again ... "what was I thinking?"
Hyundai has done a good job with the car. I have no doubt the car will be competent. But will their first attempt knock the ball out of the park or will it come equipped with issues like torque steer a la Mazdaspeed 3 is the question?

Veloshitor is not for me. Don't hate Koreans. I do hate Germans (just the BMW) ones.
I did go to look. Two ordered here, both orders cancelled. Haven't been delivered yet.
Interested to see them. Just too busy getting outdoor projects wrapped up.
I'm a Honda fanboi on a Honda site.

Hey Aash, ever driven a CRX-Si? Can you say torque steer?
Hard off the line, front tires spinning, the front end will wash right out to one side.
Honetly, it's part of the fun, it's a characteristic to me, not a flaw, it promotes two hands on the wheel.
Hard off the line and RWD cars will wash one way or the other if the pavement is not perfect.
I'm not trying to defend it, if it is a so called flaw, I'm just saying it is not an issue for me, it's sort of what I'm used to.
