Just a quick question here but what are you guys getting for mpg? I talked with tyler about a month ago and he seemed amazed i've been getting between 28-30 on every fill up. I've just been tracking it on my odo/the number of gallons i pump into the tank to fill her back up.

I do 50 hwy/50 city driving and am typically not too light on the pedal
I get mid 20s around town with a mix of expressway and surface streets. Upper 20s-30 is typical highway mileage. On my trip I had a low of 24.5 after an all day expressway run at 85 mph, and a high of 36 after an all day run at 45 mph in 6th gear. A tank of gas that includes an autocross weekend drops into the low 20s.

I usually shift in the 4k-5k range, but every tank sees some +6k runs.
Pretty much the exact same thing for me (MY04) -- just substitute "group drive" for "autocross" above

Seems like both my newer S (06 and 08) got better gas mileage on average. And I have the log books to prove it

I don't check anymore, it's a toy, I honestly don't care, or, want to know
I do know I got about 7-9 mpg at Watkins Glen
I know I have achieved 33-mpg on the highway

Or maybe I've got alot fatter (see Jeff's post above about variables including weight)

I am curious how does tire dimension variable work? Smaller better? Or worse?

I'd think a narrower treadwidth equals greater gas mileage. Not so sure about size 16 versus 17

I'm guessing that is because of the size and weight of the monster tires they use. Smaller diameter requires more revs to cover the same distance. That usually makes for poor gas mileage.

Mark, if you don't already have Firefox, download it and install the adblocker add-on.

I don't see a single add on s2ki.
