Battery may be toast. There are signs of life when it is on the charger, but is deader than dead when off the charger. I'll charge it overnight, but I think one of the cells may have shorted.

What brand?

For years I just bought the cheap batteries as I think they are just as good if not better than the costly ones from the bike shop
I think the one in the Nighthawk came from Sam's Club
Typically I would get 3 to 5-years out of them
Sounds to me like you are off to Autozone or K-mart or something like that today

Went to Advance Auto on my lunch hour. They do not have a listing for the VFR. The battery that I have now came from Advance and I remember that they didn't have a listing then either, but I was in a jam in Florida, so I bought what they had. There is no information about the battery specs on the packaging. I went ahead and bought the same part number that I had before. I opened the box back at work and found a spec sheet inside. (Brilliant ) The specs are all wrong for the VFR. It is rated at 90 cca, 8 ah. The VFR specs call for 200 cca and 11 ah. looks like I will be taking this back after work.

New battery did the trick. Surprised the old battery lasted almost 4 years. Found out the specs were all wrong for the VFR. (90 cca, 8 ah.) Purchased an XTAZ14S Xtreme Permaseal AGM Battery from Batteries Plus. (225 cca, 12 ah.)

sorry aashish, but i don't do pics (old dog,new tricks kinda thing). the tdi is a really interesting car, perhaps the antithesis of the s2000. 140hp and 230+ ft/lbs of torque. 2000-4500 rpm it pulls strong, then nothing. i like it, but it takes some getting used to. bought it for lisa(wifey) and she seems to like it. her "must have list": great mileage(a green thing),4 doors, stick shift(god bless her),fun to drive, and heated seats. i walked the lots at honda, hyundai, nissan, kia and toyota(she won't consider ford) and couldn't find a car with a clutch. then looked at a gti, drove it, loved it, but the mileage wasn't good enough. the golf tdi next to it looked pretty good, as did the price(23k,sticker 27).

Glad you like it. I must say that I was quite taken with the TDI when I saw it at Jeff's home. I hope you guys get to enjoy it for a long time
I'd definitely consider a diesel if I were car shopping in todays market.

Spy shot of what could be the Veloster Turbo
HONDA
Displacement- 2.4 normally aspirated
Horsepower- 201 @ 7,000
Torque- 170 @ 4,400
Weight- 2,870
HYUNDAI
Displacement- 1.6 turbo
Horsepower- 208 @ 6,000
Torque- 195 @ 1,600
Weight- 2,600
Just looking at the basic numbers, and wow, Honda and their play it safe approach does not even get close to this Hyundai.
