What a day, and it ain't over.
Have a press check tonight at 11, and another tomorrow morning at 6.
Press runs will go into Fri night and Sat morning.
Then Sunday afternoon I fly to Kansas City for another press ok on Mon.
Then fly Mon afternoon to Phoenix for another on Tuesday, and fly home Wed.
I'm planning on being a basket case on Thurs...

Ellen

How far is your new place from Cuddebackville, NY? It is close to Middletown. Looking at trying this. May be cheaper than a track outing.

Super close - mapquest says 25 minutes... but the carting web site says "The cost for this program is $225"
Not in this lifetime and not with my own money
matter of fact Heather (formerly of Formula H) works as their business development manager. Maybe she could get us a discount I think doing this will be cheaper than a track day for me.

SCDA at NHMS next month, August 8, is $275.

For $50 more there's no question, I'd do SCDA rather than play with go-karts.

And I have a $50 gift certificate so it would be the same as the toys.

Anyone interested?

I wouldn't just blow karts away.

Schumacher, Vettel, Hamilton etc. all got their start in Karting. Schumacher and Massa tested Karts before they got back into F1.

The karts they have at the track are capable of going up to 60-70 MPH. At the highest level Karts can go as fast as 160 MPH, the S2000 by comparison is limited to 150 MPH.

Personally I'd rather run a real car on a real track if the 2 are comparable in price.

I still keep in touch with Heather I could ask about a discount if you are interested in going sometime or if the group is.

I don't have $225 to waste and if I did, for a few bucks more there is no question I would rather drive the S on track.

Egads, another 3 hours tonight after dinner, just got home from more cleaning. Pretty much done and ready to move in

Even the basement got a first sweep. Needs a few more sweeps but did not see anything that made me run screaming up the stairs

Think we are going to get a carpet remnant for down there, warm it up a bit.

Even got a few boxes unpacked and brought home to refill.

My neighbor gave me a big green zucchini... should I read something into that

That would be cool Ellen. I really want to give Karting a try. If I like it I may just get into that as opposed to track days.

Great bike, great tires
I'm happy with my Battlax BT023R
I suspect you ride more aggresively than I do
I have no clue what I will get out of them but time will tell
