What an awesome job!
Have you seen my reply to you in the bike thread?

Read this, it sure put a smile on my face...
Good to hear from you Doug. I was out riding the Nighthawk just this past Saturday. Emptied the tank! The air cooled in-line 4 just reminds me of a simpler time.

There are only a couple things I am still fixing on it. The new left rear turnsignal stay is being delivered today. The tape was (and is) holding, but our heat here is making it droop.

The handlebars were slightly bent on the left side, I straightened them with the "vise-and-pvcpipe-leverage" trick, but I want to put the stock bars and grips on it. I have both but will probably wait until after I return from Indy at the end of the month.

I filled it up with gas on Saturday after my ride and recorded 60+ MPG? Could that be right? I need to check again with another long ride this weekend.

It's my favorite bike in my stable right now. I'll take the ST1100 on the long, over-the-road trips but that 650 is perfect for around and about locally.

I was able to find a pdf of the owners manual and have referenced that for fun, but it'll be nice to have the original.

You can send it to:

All is well here! The kids will be back to school next week, and the heat of Summer breaks in another couple weeks.

Heading for the MotoGP 2 weeks from Today.

Take care!

HIS FAVORITE BIKE, in a big stable
I sold it to the right owner, no question!!!
I'm just so happy

SCCA Solo National Championships start today. 1149 drivers! 24 of 32 drivers in B-Stock are campaigning S2000s. 5 of 5 drivers in B-Stock Ladies are driving S2000s. There are 29 drivers out of 66 in STR running S2000s.

Wish I was there.

For the first time out in the S this year, and being on half used street tires in the rain, I did all right. There were 31 drivers. 16 in the "other" class where I ran. I finished 4th, behind 2 Subarus and a modded Integra. I'm not sure where I finished overall. I know a Boxster S in the BMW class beat me.

Oh...I was 10 seconds faster than the other S2000 that showed up.

He would have been about a minute and ten seconds faster if I'd been the other driver in the S
