What a great car.
That is indeed an amazing car, I'm still impressed they even produced it!
Totally cool, I loved seeing them down at the track.

Only Ford I want is a Fiesta 3-door ST, 1.6 Ecoboost, 5-speed manual

I had a rental car in Maui. Took the dirt road back from Hana. (Expressly forbidden in the contract!) The road was so rough, that you couldn't do much over 10 mph. I discovered it smoothed right out above 45 mph.

We had some local autocross guys who rented a Neon for every autocross. They even had spare wheels for it with r-compounds.

To sum it up, I'd say your theory has a strong foundation.

Haven't rented a car in a long time, so I cant say for sure. There was a time though when I rented regularly and 4 out of 5 times I'd end up in a Kia or Hyundai that looked like a cheap knockoff of some other car. They have come a long way since and are perhaps the next Honda. Atleast their approach seems to be right and they also have plans for a coupe.
That said, I don't know if I will ever buy one. As of now I have no need for a new car. And when I do, Honda will get first preference unless they have nothing I want (no not the CR-V )

Hey badger boy, check it out....

Cheap knockoff based on the TSX Sportwagon

Not selling my Fit for a LONG time -- I worked harder to find the exact Fit I wanted than I did to find the Suzuka S!!

I gave up on Ford when my 94 Ranger suffered from the same design flaw in the front axles/hubs, that afflicted my 86 Ranger. 8 years between the two trucks and they made no attempt to fix a weak point in their design!

Other than the primer gray paint, I like it.
