Were those Formula cars running at WGI? That is very cool. I think Honda is making a bug push for the Fit. Notice how they Mugen "bling" accessories available for it now. They also have a B-spec Fit they will sell you to race in any competitive series.

That talk of racing reminds me. Saturday at Lime Rock Park, there was a car that looked like it was an ALMS spec car or something. It seemed to have the aero and everything else on par with a spec race car. Anyways on the pace lap this car was in the lead and the rest of the vintage racers (P-cars etc.) were right on its tail. As soon as the pace lap was complete and the safety cars went in, I saw this car open up a gap with the P-cars not too far behind. On the next lap I see this race car come screaming down the front straight, into big bend, left hander and onto no-name straight and then I turned around and saw the first of the P-cars at big bend. He'd opened up a gap of nearly half the track within one lap. If I remember correctly this was a 5-lap race and while I did not stick around to see I'm sure he lapped the other cars.

I wish I'd gotten a picture to share on here. Maybe Jeff knows what car I'm talking about.

Saturday morning featured an F1600 and a F2000 race, both were about 30-minutes long, and a blast to watch in the cloudy sun
When the Grand Am boys came on track at 1:00 it was pouring, and windy, and cold...

Overall, I’m very pleased with the weekend. I haven’t been in a trophy position at a Tour for a couple of years, and had no expectations of getting one this weekend.
Great report. Glad you had a good weekend.

My S is filthy after a full day of exploring on Friday
I think I'll go home, have a few tall cold ones, and wash it

It was listed as a WSR Sport Racer. This is the car. http://www.flickr.com/photos/albionphoto/5103527142/
