Indy 500 - Terrific opening ceremony and a very heart-moving one at that. Watched race for a while and mentally switched off. Not too interesting. During the anthem there was a beautiful shot of the stars and stripes against the infield at Indy. Brought back fond memories of F1

Only 20% chance of rain here Monday, probably spend the day mowing, depends how much more rain we get today/overnite.
I can't believe people have their sprinklers on there. Up here the ground is like a sponge.

You ain't kidding about the shocker! That poor kid! He will be

Definitely rookie mistakes - he was leading by several seconds yet pushed way too hard in the corner, then knew he was gonna crash and did not remove hands from wheel.
Maybe his physical pain the next week will dull the emotional pain a bit I always try to schedule a dental appt when I am feeling really depressed

NO, Im not going to talk about what happened in Monaco even though that race started at 8 AM. Also two weeks from now I wont talk about the race in Canada even though the race is at noon

I forgot it was Monaco weekend or I would have watched. My heart is just not in F1 w/o Honda though
Speaking of which - REAL competition in Indy car racing next year. And I think Tom and I will be going out to see the 500 in person. Or at least I will since the tickets will be bought in my name
