hey! did you read the NY Times article on Ferrari and the FF? Contains an interesting vignette on how Luca came to be with the company - a very cool story
It is 3 pages long though for those with short attention spans

As Mr. Marchionne moves to raise Fiat’s stake in Chrysler to 51 percent, he has also suggested an eventual initial public offering of Ferrari, which could compel it to start dialing up profitability.
I think the FF is the first step in that direction. Nothing wrong with it provided they keep the exclusivity of Ferrari and the FF is certainly not a bad-looker.

They do have a snake oil salesman's appraoch to selling their cars. Drive up its value by making a few and give it only to a chosen few. Thats one thing I dislike about them. But hey! their success speaks for itself and I certainly ain't in no Ferrari owner league to feel offended.

So far, his instincts have paid off: All 800 FFs scheduled for production this year sold out within weeks, despite the 260,000 euro base price ($370,000) and the minimum one-year waiting period.
Nope, I do not see it that way at all!
They simple make sure they produce less than demand, that's simply brilliant
Supply limited, demand high, price unlimited
“I will always produce less than demand,” he told me. “If I do more, I would destroy the brand.” Montezemolo
Controlling greed and honoring the brand, that is not a common business practice nowadays, I find it admirable in fact

Certainly not denying them their success. Just not happy that they decide whether a person is worthy of owning one.

Anyone happen to catch the "Aftermath" series of shows on NatGeo this weekend?
Some very interesting shows...what would happen if:
1) The entire human race was all gone in one day.
2) The world's oil supply was all of a sudden gone.
3) The world's population doubled in one day.
Interesting to see what effects those scenarios have on the Earth over an extended period of time.

Yea, that would be fine payment terms for sales assistance, and if that is too high, just get me one of these, fully restored though
