Mark - definitely a good way to spend a couple of hours. They make the X6, X5 & X3 at that factory. The museum is rather cool and has the first Z3 ever built which was also used in the James Bond movie with a VIN ending in 007.

Recommend calling 2-3 weeks ahead to make a reservation and be flexible with the dates as they may not have tours on the day you want to visit.

Useless, useless, and useless. Did they make any cars that were halfway exciting at that plant?

Oh wait, I forgot, BMW doesn't make exciting cars anymore. Just bloated overweight potbelly pigs. And they're ugly too (but getting better).

The previous gen Z4 was built there. The new one is built in Germany.

Yeah you have to reserve ahead of time.

I would have done the same thing, only said Break My Wallet

It's July 24th - a Sunday - save the date - and your muscles

More pluses - as soon as we can afford to buy a small sectional for the living room, the pull out love seat sofa bed will go into the 2nd bedroom and it will become a true guest room.

Also - more important there is electric and water outside the house - free car washes (and being able to use my good soap) and ability to vacuum cars all summer!
